number doesn't enable the fbi to track or eavesdrop on people. the fbi is disputing the claim. they said it was totally false. however, they say the bureau never asked for and never possessed this information. but it does bring up the question, if they didn't get it from the fbi, they did get it from somewhere. several organizations have been able to get this information and track it back to real people. apple itself at this point has not commented on the hack. >> scary stuff there this...
